Olycen offloads a camera card in one click: every file copied to multiple drives, every copy verified by checksum, and the proof written out as ASC MHL. Only when all of it is proven does the app say the words that matter — safe to format.

Copying is the easy half. Proving it is the job.
The footage on that card exists exactly once. Everything after it — the edit, the grade, the release — assumes somebody moved it correctly at 2am, tired, in the back of a van.

A copy tool copies. Then you still need proxies, dailies, reports and delivery — so the chain gets finished by hand, by four other apps, at the end of a long day.

Nobody is a DIT at 2am

We would rather lose the sale than have you find this out on set.
Will it read my handwritten camera reports?
No. Handwriting OCR is not reliable enough to put in the path of your footage, so we don't promise it. Report matching works with structured input — CSV, PDF forms, or output from a digital script app.
Does proxy generation cover every RAW format at launch?
Not at launch. ProRes, H.264, HEVC and BRAW are handled at hardware speed. RED and ARRI need vendor SDK licences and follow in a later phase — we would rather ship the formats we can do properly than list a logo we can't honour.
Is it on the Mac App Store?
No, and it can't be. Sandboxing is incompatible with the raw disk access and card formatting this work requires. Olycen is sold directly and notarized by Apple.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. Sets don't have internet, so no core feature requires it — licence activation included. Genuinely online features, like cloud delivery, simply wait.
When does it ship?
When it is field-proven, not before. Olycen is in closed beta with working DITs right now, on real productions. There is no early, partial version of a tool that people trust their only copy to — but if you offload cards for a living, you can ask to get in early at olycen.com.
